This is where my title came from, My Twisted Stitches:
My life, like the worsted strands worked over my knitting needles, may be twisted, the tension may be off, and some things dropped for a time until I can reclaim and rework it. The ultimate goal is to create a strong, comfortable, and exquisite piece... These are my musings, meanderings, and mishaps in the fabric of my life; a completely creative work in perpetual progress, just as this blog is!

This is one of my favorite stitches. I particularly love the sumptuous texture that is created using almost any fiber.
I certainly do miss knitting.... Now that Fall is nearly here I will get back to it :)
October, a week before Halloween and I have begun a new project! I found some beautiful cotton sock yarn in purple (close to the color of the "moss stitch" swatch above) and I am knitting a lacy capelette with a fuzzy fall colored collar.
I feels so nice to be in that zone again. *sigh*

Let me tell you, I have oodles of yarn, in lots of fun colors. I have needles of varying lengths and widths. I have how to books with pictures. I have the desire to learn. But I just can't do it. I have tried and tried. Fail, fail, fail. *sniffle* I need to find someone to sit down with me and talk me through it.
Well then I guess we'll have to get together someday and I'll show you!!! lol
Melody, this dress is absolutely 100% gorgeous! Well done.
Thank you Theresa! Someday I'll figure out the pattern and publish it. :)
I love the dress. It is beautiful! I know how to crochet one stitch. And I love it! One day I'll learn more. Thanks for sharing!
Oh thank you!
I am SO excited to find this blog. My 12 year old son was diagnosed with bipolar at age 7. He is stable now, but last year at this time we were considering residential treatment. Instead, we chose to have a pretty intensive summer that would involve lots of different appointments. I knew I would be doing a LOT of waiting for him at those appointments, so - I taught myself to knit!
This is great!
Hurray Dorothy!!!! I'm so glad you found me too :) I'll bet we are kindred spirits!
I'm really glad your son is stable now. Please do come back and keep in touch. How old is your son and what was your intensive summer like?!
