Calm Fall

Cooler weather, peaceful air, and calm moments.
Life is much more relaxed in our new apartment.

The kids seem more relaxed even though the transition is hard; there is grief and there is frustration, but they are able to just be.  There are more snuggles and fewer struggles.  Personally, I'm not so worried about the little things like the stuff on the floor and the laundry.  Getting through the day with a little reading, some exercise, good hygiene, a healthy diet, and meeting our deadlines are the priorities now.  We are ALL focused on school and friends while slowly creating a home space that reflects US.

This upcoming Halloween holiday is something the oldest two are really looking forward to.  The costumes are ready and plans are in the works for decorating.  We want to have a party/open house for friends and family who want to join, but I'd like to get the apartment organized and beautiful.  Being that I am still bringing car loads of stuff nearly every day, things are just not organized.  We are not living amidst boxes for the most part, but the time it takes to unpack and create the space I like is certainly time consuming.  We'll get there though.

Don't worry, I'll still be here waiting in the wing when you come back ;).  THANKS!
(This is what blogger has to offer, so until I find a better way...  Happy debating!)
